Sisters of Mary Cebu - Girlstown Confirmation

Confirmation, is one of the seven sacraments through which Catholics pass in the process of their religious upbringing. In this sacrament they receive the Holy Spirit.

Last week our alumni president Ms. Estella Cabardo informed me that there will be an incoming initation of the Sacrament of Confirmation to the students of Sisters of Mary School - Girlstown on September 10, 2009...., and she invited me to be one of the Godfather. Whoppsss!!! I pause for a while and think, "is it OK?" I talked to myself. Hmmm... after a minute of thinking I came up with an affirmative answer.. So.. there it goes.


The day came and I became the Godfather of this eight children actually there are nine of them, I dont know why she's not in the picture ^_^ with Estella Cabardo as my partner the Godmother. It's quite awkward for me that they take my hand to their forehead as a sign of respect since our gap is five or six years only.. ^_^ .
As I observed, I think I'm the youngest among the other Godparents in there.. Anyway it goes fine.

After the event they gave me this cute cards and a rosary from the Sisters. It's nice reading their messages.. ^_^ .. Some message sounds funny some are inspiring and some has touching stories..
Well...... I like it..

Question for Girls

I have this question for girls especially for the singles.
"When to say yes when someone's courting you?" or "What are your basis to accept a man asking your affection?"


I tried to ask a related question to some of my friends. My question is "For example I don't have gf and you don't have bf too, Is there a chance that I can have you in a relationship?". I've got these answers from them:

SMS-Cebu 12th batch reunion

Nothing can compare the happiness if we'll be with our old friends. That's why we, the officers of our batch that graduated from the Sisters of Mary School decided to have a reunion or bonding as we say. We've decided to have it on summer so that those who are currently studying can join with us too. The date that it was held was on May 17, 2009 at Blue Reef Beach Resort, it was Sunday. I was late in going there, I arrived on the said resort at 9am already. I was shocked (O.M.G. I murmured) because I didn't expect that many would come because only few confirmed that would go with us and only few paid their contribution.


It was indeed worth it, we've shared Laughters, Food, Wines, and Beers until dusk.

Side effects of drinking alcoholic beverages

Drinking alcoholic beverage is one of my pastime pleasures especially if there's no work. Sometimes moderate drinking, sometimes too much. Though I'm already aware what are the effects of too much drinking alcoholic beverages but anyway I'm not drinking too much always.

Drinking alcohol affects your nervous system and acts as a mild anesthetic and tranquilizer. It is harmful if consumed in large amounts. It can be an addictive substance. Alcohol is a leading cause of traffic accidents.

Moderate drinking is defined as 1 to 2 glasses of beer, wine, or other alcoholic beverage daily. Moderate alcohol consumption, has been shown to improve cardiovascular (heart and blood vessels) health.

Continued, excessive use of alcohol can damage the liver. It can cause alcoholic hepatitis and a fatty liver. A fatty liver can progress to cirrhosis of the liver, a potentially fatal condition.

Alcohol increases the risk of developing cancer of the esophagus, throat, larynx, mouth, and breast.

Drinking alcohol can damage the lining of the small intestine and the stomach, which affects the body's ability to absorb essential nutrients.

Alcohol can impair sexual function, even though it may increase your interest in sexual activity.
Pregnant women should not drink alcohol. Alcohol intake during pregnancy has been identified as the cause of fetal alcohol syndrome.

But even with those side effects of consequences. Why we still drink those alcoholic beverages? I could not give you the exact answer, maybe you or others can give an answer to that question. The only answer that I can give is that "for pastime pleasure" as I've said.
