CBS General Assembly 2010

I officially became a member of the Cebu Bloggers Society (CBS) way back November 2008. I just joined them once with their gatherings last January 2009 (Sinulog2009 I think). It was an eating session and I met and knew some of the members. After that, I became inactive and haven't joined any CBS activities anymore and I was thinking I'll be terminated as a member. I chatted Mark Monta (CBS founder) early this year and said to him that I will attend a certain activity (I forgot what was that) and he replied to me "member pa diay ka?". Without any malice I replied "member pa cguro kay maka login paman ko sa forum then naa paman akong name sa members list.", then he said to me "la paman kaha ka kadawat ug notice gikan sa membership committee, member pa ka".
I was thinking about that "notice" thing, and then conclude that I will really attend on the next event. When the day of the event come, it ends up that I couldn't came, I was unexpectedly sick at that time and could not help myself but just to stay home and rest.

A few weeks ago I received an email that there will be a CBS general assembly that will be held at Parkmall, Mandaue City Cebu, I was thinking that I will really came. And it was not a failure anymore, I really did it! It was last Saturday May 1, 2010.
I was there and met the Cebu Bloggers seeing new faces. I felt awkward because I only knew few of them but it was just ok. The event started at around 5pm and it goes fine (of course). They talked about the previous achievements to enlighten us, and of course not only our country will elect a new set of leaders this May, also the CBS and congrats to the new set of leaders. That event was also the renewal of CBS membership. It ends up at around 8pm and it was nicely done. I wasn't trembling in anxiety or awkwardness... ^_^ ..

Hoping that the CBS will continue the outstanding achievements this year and the succeeding years. I'll try also to be an active member...."for good" .... ^_^ ....
